This home was designed by noted Houston architect Tom Wilson and constructed by Builders West, Inc. in 2003. The architecture and furnishings create the ambiance of a 19th century European house. Radius corner trim and soft ivory paint give the feel of old plaster. A two story foyer with a "double" stair creates a dramatic first impression while large windows flood the interior with natural light. The designer was involved in all aspects of the interiors: materials, trim and millwork details, and furniture. Floors are travertine and oak; trim and cabinets are stained cypress; fireplaces are limestone; counters are marble and granite. Gail Hartz was responsible for the design and installation of the gardens surrounding the home. The design intent was to continue in the path set by the architect to bring the strong clean lines of the house and pool out into the landscape.
