Houston's oldest Rummage Sale. River Oaks Garden Club members collect donations throughout the year and curate the best of goods that we can offer to our customers. We also offer consignment of finer items to our membership and deals on treasures can be had. You can find everything from a can opener, a set of new or used linens, men, women and children's clothing - basics to designer brands, an oriental rug, furniture or a set of china - vintage to never used merchandise. Something for everyone! Our proceeds are then returned to beautification and environmental projects in our community through a thoughtful grant process. Pink Elephant is Houston's ultimate recycling event!
Please check back at a later date for detailed information about the 26th Annual Sadie Gwin Blackburn Environmental Seminar.
The 82nd Azalea Trail heralds the beginning of Spring! Blooms of Spring will be in full swing on March 10, 11 and 12, 2017. The Trail kicks off with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Lazy Lane entrance of Bayou Bend on Friday, March 10th at 10:30 a.m. This year, a ticket to the Trail gives admission to 6 locations within the River Oaks neighborhood, including 4 private homes and gardens, Bayou Bend and Rienzi. A 7th free location, also in River Oaks, is the River Oaks Garden Club Forum of Civics where free advice from "Ask the Experts" can be enjoyed each day and on Saturday at 2:00 p.m, there will be a floral demonstration with easy to repeat floral tips from one of our talented Garden Club members! A free trolley will provide easy access to all 6 locations of homes, gardens and house museums.
Please check back at a later date for information regarding Florescence 2017.
