Azalea Trail
Stop Five
This classic Southern Georgian home was built in 1936 and both house and garden were extensively renovated several years ago. The interiors feature light-filled rooms, comfortable furniture, English antiques and American pieces from the owner's family. The gardens were designed by the owner and reflect an interest in historic garden styles and in experimenting with Texas native plants and others that perform well in our climate. Planting to the front and side of the house is intentionally austere. The back garden is divided into four garden rooms, the largest of which is a parterre garden anchored by a small dipping pool.
